Mrs. S.P. and I are so proud of the 2nd Graders this week! They truly showed all the elements of PRIDE the entire week. They worked so hard on their timelines and persevered with our science experiment of observing clay and water. The children were also very kind to each other, sharing compliments such as "I noticed that ______ walked around checking in to see if anyone needed help". The students also enjoyed being with their 4th grade buddies as they made thankful turkeys together.
Please let me know if you are unable to join us at our Open House next week , 11/22 from 7:25-7:55. Thank you so much!!
Questions to ask your 2nd Grade:
* What were the steps to create your timeline?
* What happened when we let the clay air overnight? How did we make the clay moist again?
* . What is a fraction? What does 1/2 mean? What does 1/3 mean?
* . What are the new sight word rings we created during Reader's Workshop?
* . What were some things you did this week to help us earn our letters in PRIDE?
