Happy 100th Day! We had such a blast celebrating this morning. The children enjoyed going to different stations where the focus was on the number "100" . Some of the stations included seeing what you can do in 100 seconds, walking 100 steps, making a crown with a 100 stickers, looking for the tiles to complete a 100 tile board, and so much more! Thank you to the parents who were able to join us today- we couldn't have done it without you!
After reading The !00 Day Worries, we continued our counting during math as we counted each other's 100 day collections. I introduced the strategy of 10 groups of 10 as an easier way to keep track when counting. The Kindergarteners worked in pairs to count and record their findings.
We wrote our special book for Neil this afternoon. After Ms. Dennehy demonstrated how to best draw Neil, the Kindergartners wrote all that they have learned about Neil. We hope you enjoy your special book, Neil!
We ended the day with Neil's parents joining us Star Readers. Thank you for spending part of your day with us!
