We started our morning by completing our shape creations from yesterday. These will soon be hanging in the hall- please come and check them out! As the Kindergarteners were creating their "scenes", we asked the children to identify the shapes used including squares, circles, hexagons, rectangles, rhombuses, and triangles.
We then had the opportunity to meet the author Jarrett Krosoczka who has written books such as Lunch Lady and Punk Farm. Mr. Krosoczka worked hard to become an author and he demonstrated the perserverence needed to be a successful author. We learned about his career and listened to a reading of Punk Farm.
During math today, we finished our math stories and started to share them at the end of the day. We will continue this activity tomorrow- the children enjoyed using white boards to write the equation that was represented by the story told by their classmates.
