We had a very busy day today! During School Meeting, Mr. Jones read a book from the Community Book Stop about accepting differences and not judging people by their appearance. He then challenged each Loker student to play with someone different at recess and to try learn something new about him/her. Our Kindergarteners took this challenge quite seriously and many did play with someone new at recess.
Kate's dad and brother, Charlie, came and joined us as our Star Readers today. Then read The Bernstein Bears Play Ball, which helped us get ready for Red Sox opening day! Thank you for spending part of your day with us us!
Ms. Pirelli also joined us and gave us a tool "guide" for getting in the green zone. The Kindergartener started to color in the strategies that work for them, and the strategies they would like to try. We are keeping these "guides" in their work drawers so they can access the ideas during the day.
During science today, we dropped water on different types of fabric to observe how different fabrics react to water. The Kindergarteners then wrote down their observations.
