We did so much today in Room 1! The Kindergarteners listened to a story told by Mama Echo ( an owl puppet we use during Fundations) and were asked to predict and answer comprehension stories. They enjoyed this very much and were able to show a good understanding of the story that was told. The Kindergarteners also worked in their "All About Me Books" and wrote in their addresses and telephone numbers. We will finish these books up in the next few days.
During math, we introduced the thermometer and the different temperature zones (red, orange, yellow, blue, etc) to indicate hot through cold temperatures. The children colored in their own thermometers and cut out and glued clothing to go along with each temperature zone.
We ended the day with choice time and some extra recess as a result of good behavior, especially in the cafeteria. The Kindergarteners continued to enjoy using play dough, playing "Kids on Stage" and building with legos.
