The Kindergarteners really enjoyed the strings/band concert this morning. They were able to recognize many of the different instruments that were played and are already looking forward to playing one in 3rd Grade! It was also wonderful to see so many siblings of children in our class participating today.
We continued our new author study of Lio Lionni. Although his books are quite different than the Mr./Mrs. Books we have been reading, the children are enjoying figuring out the lesson behind each story and connecting with the fictional characters.
We started new math stations today! The children continued to play Uno, while others worked with me on using a number bond to solve a math story problem. Others explored with the explorations that we used earlier this year.
Ms. Germaine, one of the First Grade teachers, joined us as our Mystery Reader today. She read Tacky The Penguin. . Thank you for joining us today!
