wWe started the day with a fabulous Cultural Enrichment Program featuring Bill Harley, a musician and storyteller. The children were riveted by his stories and songs which he taught the group. Ask your child is he/she remembers the story about the princess who wouldn't stop crying!
Sophia's mom came in as our Star Reader today and read the book Frog and Toad to the class. Thank you for joining us!
We also played rhyming BINGO during phonics which was actually harder for the class than we thought it would be. We will revisit this activity next week during Literacy Centers.
At the end of the day we practiced for the ALICE drill which we will be having tomorrow morning. After the practice, many children said "I feel much better about ALICE now". That is exactly what we were hoping for :-)
