We had a fabulous morning of sharing as part of our morning meeting to start off our day to day! Some children shared fuse bead and lego creations, while others shared items from nature that they found in their backyard or on a walk. I am very impressed by the types of questions that the Kindergarteners have been asking and the elaborate responses that are elicited by the questions.
We also turned over a letter in our alphabet today- the letter D for Dancing Dinosaur. We brainstormed words that begin with D and then sorted by beginning sound for the letters D, M, and S. Over the weekend, see if your child can recognize these letters and perhaps even sounds out words that start with D, M, or S.
After spending math time in the computer lab, we came back to the class for Friday Fun. I taught the Kindergarteners how to play the dot game and tic-tac-toe. Ask your child to teach it to you...
