Today we were treated to Wayland High School students performing the play "The Fabulous Fable Factory" for just the Kindergarteners. The play was about understanding the moral of each fable. Many of the high school actors that came today will also be performing the Charlie Brown music happening this weekend at the high school!
The class was very excited to go outside and enjoy the snow today. Some children even were able to make snowpeople! Please help us allow every child to have fun by sending in snow pants, boots, hats, and gloves- there may be snow in our playground area, even if there isn't snow in your backyard!
We changed the form of wood today by sanding basswood and then sanding sticks. The class was amazed at the amount of shavings they were able to make! We had a great class discussion comparing the results of sanding the basswood as opposed to the sticks. We have sent home the sticks and sandpaper for your child to continue doing this at home (if he/she desires:-)
