We had such a fabulous day as a way to end our week! We had 5 eighth graders come and visit us today (as part of a community service initiative by the Middle School) and play games with our class- all the students who came in were in Room 1 so it was very special to have them return to Room 1!
The children also wrote a page for Nishanth's Star of The Week book. We worked on adjectives (describing words) as we wrote this book and the children took great pride in their writing and illustrations.
Eileen McManus, our social learning consultant, joined our class to formally introduce herself as our social thinking "teacher". She read the book The Incredible Flexible Brain and we learned about all the different parts and roles of our brain. The Kindergarteners were fascinated by the "science" lesson - ask your child what he/she learned during this time.
We ended our day with 5 different games of tag outside for our Friday Fun activity. There was lots of laughing and giggling- a great way to end our day!!
A request: We would love recyclable materials for some different activities. Thank you in advance :-)
