This morning we wrote our book for Sylvia, our Star of The Week. Ms. Dennehy, a former teacher in Room 1, came in and demonstrated how to best draw Sylvia. We then brainstormed all that we have learned about Sylvia. The children then and wrote about what makes Sylvia a Star. We read Sylvia her book at at the end our day. We hope you enjoy it! :-)
During math, we measured our feet with unified cubes! Then, we looked around the room for things that were about the same length/height as our shoe. This is a fun activity to continue at home.
During science, we reused newsprint to make paper-macho bowls. Using a flour/water mixture, the Kindergarteners patiently put strips of newsprint on their bowls. We hope these will dry and harden over the weekend :-)
