We had a great start to our day- the Kindergarteners wrote a page for Olivia's Star of The Week book. We brainstormed all that we had learned about Olivia and Ms. Dennehy modeled how to draw Olivia to best represent Olivia's features. The class did a fabulous job writing and drawing.
We also made a special gift for Mr. Silkonis, our school custodian. He is out for a weeks for minor foot surgery -- the children each traced their hands and decorated them. We then made their hands into a beautiful wreath to decorate Mr. Silkonis' house.
We spent our math time in the Computer Lab on Symphony Math today. We are continuing to focus on some "addition" and "subtraction" problems and using the number line to make equations. The children seem to enjoy this time and are working hard with it!
We ended our day by continuing to work on our recyled art creations. We are hoping to paint them next week and to send them home for the holidays!
