We had such a fabulous end to our week! We started our day by sharing our pan balances that we made. The children were so proud of what they did and were not afraid to share that their first attempt didn't work and that they needed to recreate and change their plan.  When your child brings his/her work home,I would suggest asking them questions such as "what was your plan?", "did you change anything as you worked on your pan balance?" and "what does a pan balance tell us about weight?"

We then spent time remembering all that we had learned about Mikayla this week and what has been stored in our Mind Files. After a demonstration from Ms. Dennehy for how to draw Mikaya as accurately as poosible, the Kindergartners worked hard to draw and write about Mikayla. We hope Mikayla enjoys this special book.

After PE and Art, we spent time in the computer lab on Symphony Math working on creating equations and using the number line. Each child works at his/her own pace and we check in with each child during this time that everyone is getting what he/she needs.

To celebrate our fabulouls week and completing 5 ten frames showing that we followed the group plan during math, showed whole body listening on the rug, and walked quietly in line, we watched an episode of Sid the Science Kid to end our day!
