We had a very busy day today! Our morning meeting consisted of the "notecard" greeting where children pick a name and greet that child. This greeting teaches the recognition of names and also encourages the Kindergarteners to say hello to someone new. After some great "shares", we transitioned to Writer's Workshop and each child wrote a page for Saoirse's Star of The Week book. We brainstormed ideas for sentence starters and the children did a fabulous job making this special book for Saoirse.
After Learning Centers, the class spent time in the computer lab using Symphony Math where we continue to focus on the language "Part, Part, Whole".
We ended our day with a fabulous game of kickball with our 3rd Grade Buddies.
