Today we introduced a new sight word, IT, to the class. The Kindergarteners then enjoyed reading their new sight word book , What Is It? You can expect these books to come home in the next few days- please encourage your child to point as he/she reads it. We also talked about using the picture to figure out any unknown words.
We also wrote about Mateo today for his Star of The Week book. After a demonstration from Ms. Dennehy for how to accurately draw Mateo. The Kindergarteners did such a great job sounding out their words and making their pictures match their words. We hope you enjoy this special book, Mateo!
We ended our day with playing more games during Friday Fun. We were joined by 2 Third Grade friends who helped to lead the games. Ask your child what game he/she played today. The games to choose from were Quirkle, Chutes and Ladders, Sorry, Kids on Stage and Uno.
