We started our day with Ms, Meyler, the technology specialist. She introduced the challenge happening around the world right now called "An Hour Of Code". Children are being challenged to learn and try coding for at least an hour in December! Well, we did it! Using robots called Beebots, the children programmed and moved the BeeBots on special mats which either had a road, shapes, or letters on it! We will start using the Beebots for math and phonics activities now that they have been introduced!
During Writer's Workshop, we wrote about Ryan in honor of his Star of The Week. Ms. Dennehy demonstrated how to accurately draw Ryan and the children wrote all that they have learned about Ryan. We hope you enjoy your special book, Ryan!
We spent our Friday Fun planning and making projects out of recyled art (thank you, again, for your contributions! Keep sending them in). We gave the children a few ideas, and they took off with enthusiasm and energy! We will continue this work next week.
