The Kindergarteners were so excited to have an extra Learning Center time this morning as a result of compelting our behavior chart this week! By showing whole body listening on the rug, following the group plan during math time, and walking in line in an expected way, we (inclduing Mr. Jones!) have been having great thoughts about our class all week. Way to go, Room 1!!
We also read the book Slowly Slowly, Slowly Said The Sloth and discussed the style of Eric Carle's books. We have noticed that he often repeats phrases and that his illustrations are also quite similarly done from book to book. So far, his main characters have all been animals.
We finished our day playing "Kids On Stage" which is a pantoming and acting game. The Kindergartners had such fun guessing what their friends were attempting to act out, while having their own opportunities to read a card and act. This is a game a highly recommend playing as a family.
