Happy Groundhog Day! We started the day by making predictions if the groundhog would see his shadow today. After finding out that he did see his shadow ( 6 more weeks of winter!), the children learned a Groundhog Day poem and created their own little groundhogs!
We were lucky enough to see the Jazz Band and Honors Chamber Orchestra and select chorus from the Middle School perform today. The class enjoyed moving to the music and thinking about which of the instruments they might want to,play one day!
We ended the day writing about and drawing Penny, our Star of the Week. Ms. Dennehy modeled how to draw Penny and then the Kindergarteners wrote about all they have added to their mind files about Penny this week. We hope you enjoy your special book, Penny!
