Today we introduced 2 new sight words- AT and NOT. The Kindergarteners enjoyed reading the book Animals at Night and many are excited to bring it home to read to you. Please continue to encourage your child to point to each word as he/she reads.
During Writer's Workshop, we wrote about Elsa, our Star of The Week. Ms. Dennehy did a demonstration of how to draw Elsa and the Kindergarteners did a great job thinking about the details shown when doing their own drawings. They also are beginning to write more than one sentence as they focus on more details in their writing.
During Friday Fun, The KIndergarteners were very excited to make "Thing 1 and Thing 2" from the Cat In The Hat. They were asked to cut out the characters and then fold the hair. We will be displaying these right outside our door .
We ended our day with Gaga, Ryan and Trevor's grandmother being our Mystery Reader! She read What Pet Should I Get? by Dr. Seuss. Thank you for spending your time with us!
