Happy April Fools Day! We started our day with the announcement that Dr. Stein has decided that we should all go to school on Saturday for the rest of the year. Many right away said "Yeah, April Fools!! " :-) Our morning message was also backwards which many found quite funny!
We wrote about Daniel during Writer's Workshop and added to our Mind Files about Daniel. The Kindergarteners are really focusing on their vowel sounds when writing and I have encouraged to slow down and enunciate their words to make the vowels even easier to hear!
Ms. McGrath joined our class this morning and helped us make April rainbows with raindrops to remind us that "April showers bring May flowers". We will continue these on Monday morning! We reviewed the colors of the rainbow and also reminded children about how to use "drippy glue".
During math today we spent time in the Computer Lab doing Symphony Math. This program is accessed through the Loker website. It is competely optional, but if your child is interested, he /she is more than welcome to use this math program at home.
We finished our day with our 3rd Grade buddies and worked on our games. We are looking forward to playing these games together as a review of the math and language arts skills we have learned thus far!
