We started our morning with many children's favorite greeting- the shoe greeting! Many children laughed and giggled as we tried to figure out which shoe belonged to which Kindergartener and then to greet that child. We also had some new children share this morning which was a great way to start our morning.
During Writer's Workshop, we wrote about Annabel for her Star of The Week book. Many of the Kindergarteners are enjoying asking a question in their writing as their second sentence. We hope that Annabel enjoys this special book.
We spent our math time in the computer lab working on Symphony Math. Today we focused on missing addends as a our group lesson and showed mutlitple examples and strategies for figuring out the missing part of a whole.
Mrs. McManus joined us for a social thinking lesson about SuperFlex. Superflex is part of a Social Thinking curriculum which introduces children to a superhero named SuperFlex who defeats a cast of "Unthinkables". Today we talked about Rock Brain who can cause people to get stuck on an idea. Information about SuperFlex can be seen on the following site: www.soialthinking.com
We ended our day with buddies- we played a few differnent games outside. It was a great way to end our week! :-)
