We started our day by making an estimate of how many 3 dimensional blocks were in my counting bag. This activity reinforced estimating, writing numbers and understanding that an estimate is just a good guess! We continued our math work this afternoon by solving the word problems that the children had created. The Kindergarteners enjoyed the challenge of this activity.
During Fundations we continued to think about nonsense words and how to properly write our letters. We also focused on our trick words as we read sentences that I created on the board.
For Friday Fun, the Kindergarteners created boots and umbrellas for our spring bulletin board. We continued to discuss the phrase "April showers bring May flowers" in the hope of spring really beginning soon!
