Using "Heidi Songs" we learned 2 new sight words- ON and WAS. Heidi Songs is a collection of songs where a woman named Heidi Butkus sings and dances to sight words. The tunes are simple, but catchy, and I have already heard Kindergarteners singing the songs to spell many of our sight words!
We also wrote our Star of The Week book for Colby today. The KIndergarteners are starting to write more independently and are writing more and more of the medial vowels in their words. We hope you enjoy your special book, Colby!
We spent time in the computer lab today using Symphony Math. The children continue to be challenged by the concept of part, part, whole and writing equations in a variety of ways. We will reinforce these concepts both in math lessons and during Math Shuffle.
We finished our day by reading with our Reading Buddies. Kindergartners took turns reading to their buddies, and then were read to. It was a wonderfully peaceful way to end our week.
