The Kindergarteners were very excited to write their page for Caleb's Star of The Week book. Many children were remembering to put a period at the end of their sentences and are more able to read back their writing when editing their work. We hope you enjoy your special book, Caleb!
During math shuffle and math time, we continued to work on balanced equations and explaining our thinking. Often a Kindergartner will only recognize an equation as "3+2=5 when it can also be written as "5= 3+2" or "5=2+3". We had a great discussion explaining why all these equations represent the same number.
During Friday Fun, the Kindergarters enjoyed planting and wrapping special gifts for Mother's Day. You might want to open these special gifts today....

Friday, June 14- Ms. Dennehy, Ms. Treffs and I will be hosting the class for movie and make-your-own sundae. (this was our auction item for the Backpack Auction). We will do this after school until 3:30. More information to come...
