We were so happy to start our day with Shree's mom joining us as our Mystery Reader. Thank you for joining us this morning!
Today the Kindergartners were so excited to make paper during science. After watching a Mr. Rogers (!!) video explaining how to make paper, the Kindergarteners got to work! Using tissue paper, a bottle, and a screen the Kindergartners shook and followed the steps to make paper. We will let it dry over the weekend and then write on the paper before we send it home. It was very cool to see the transformation of toilet paper into actual writing paper.
We also wrote our book for Chloe, our Star of The Week. After we reviewed all that we had learned about Chloe, Ms. Dennehy demonstrated how to draw Chloe. The children then wrote at least 2 sentences and illustrated her book. We hope you enjoy your special book, Chloe!
Today we also had Math Shuffle where children worked in groups with different children and teacher. Each child is "getting what he/she needs" as we think about greater than and less than, counting carefully and comparing numbers.
