The Kindergarteners had such a blast wtih Rythym Kids today! The children were "transported" to Africa and had a chance to use African drums to all the different beats. The energy was high, and the children responded to Dan and Tom as they taught them all about drumming and different percussion instruments.
We also had Writer's Workshop today where children continued to work on their stories and lists. This time is one of my favorites as the grown of each child is very apparent. They also feel so good about their work- especially when they can read back their writing!!
We finished our day by making paper mache pots. Using recycled newspaper, the Kindergarteners layered and worked hard for step one of this fun project! We are hoping that the pots will dry over the weekend and we can paint them next week
