Happy First Day of June! The Kindergarteners worked hard this morning fixing up sentences that had mistakes. They were challenged to make sure each sentence started with a capital letter, ended with a period and that trick words were spelled correctly. We reviewed their work at Fundations.
We also wrote our book about Shree today. We reviewed all that we had learned about Shree and then brainstormed what we could write. We hope you enjoy your special book, Shree.
For math, we did an activity called "5 crayons in all". I showed the KIndergarteners a bunch of red and blue crayons and asked how many combinations they could make of red and blue crayons to equal 5 crayons in all. This challenged many who defaulted to 2 red and 3 blue and had a hard time thinking of other combinations. We culminated the activity by having them work independently to show their own thinking on math sheet.
