We had a fabulous Friday! We started our day by sharing our hopes and dreams for Kindergarten. These will be displayed in our classroom -feel free to take a look! During this time we also cut the ribbon for our regular pencils and modeled how to use a pencil the right way. The Kindergarteners noticed that our pencils don't have erasers! I explained to the class that in Kindergarten we love mistakes because they help us learn. Therefore, we will not be offering erasers (at least for the first part of the year) so we can learn to see mistakes as an opportunity and not an obstacle.
Mr. Jones joined our class today and read Whole Body Listening Larry which introduced the concept of whole body listening. Ask your child what parts of his/her body he/she can use to show whole body listening!
After art with Ms. Sperandio and gym with Mr. O'Connor , we had Friday Fun! Each child had the opportunity to decorate his /her name with oil pastels, mosaic paper tiles, markers and colored pencils. These will also be displayed in our classroom in just a few days.
