The Kindergarteners worked on to create a logo for Loker School during our school-wide DEC (Drop Everything and Create) time. We first brainstormed ideas about what Loker School means to us and the the children used these ideas to create a logo. Children thought about PRIDE, friendship, Wayland,and personal best when thinking about Loker School. Ask your child what he /she created.
The Kindergarteners were very excited for the Move Along Time today. We talked about things to expect that were going to be the same in their First Grade classrooms and then followed up with a similar conversation after Move-Along Day. The children seem very ready for this transition, and as much as we are going to miss them, they are ready to "fly"!.
We also performed our plays today- once for Room 2 and once for our buddies. Once again, your children exceeded our expectations and did a fabulous job reading, improving when necessary, and having fun with performing. Please check out our pictures below. It was a fun-filled Friday!
