Today we continued working on the Pledge of Allegiance, glueing pictures to match the words. These are now in our Poetry Folders so we can practice on a weekly basis. We also had Learning Centers today where the Kindergarteners enjoyed making choices which included Creativity Center, ABC Center (focusing on rhyming), Math Center (recognizing numbers and building with cubes to match the number), building in the Block Area, role- playing in the Doll House and in Housekeeping.
During Open Circle today, we talked about things we have in common (such as liking pizza or swimming)
and things that are different (we might live in different towns, have different types of families, etc.) The children engaged in a lively conversation and did a great job being a social detective to figure what they had in common with their classmates.
