Today we had a special visitor, Emily, my daughter joined our class because her school was closed. We continued to work in our journals and focused on stretching out our words. During Fundations, the Kindergarteners each received a puzzle piece with either a letter or a picture clue. Then, based on my clues, the children had to match up their pieces.
We read Trick or Treat Smell My Feet and talked about the surprise ending at the end of the story! Some children also chose to look at this book during Choice Time this morning.
During math, we started new stations focused on sorting. The children who worked with me were surprised at the many ways to sort attribute blocks, while those at the Exploration Station thought about ways to make different arrangements to represent the same number quantity. Thank you to Penny's dad, Jon, for joining us today!
