Today we read So Thankful by Mercer Mayer and then thought about all the things for which we are thankful. The class then did a reading response writing for what they are thankful.
During Fundations, we added the letters "p" and "j" to our magnet boards. We then reviewed the sounds and used our interactive white board to read CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words and then match them to the correct picture.
For math today, we introduced how to write the numbers 8 and 9. The Kindergarteners have now been introduced to the poems for how to write every number.
We finished the day making a special Thanksgiving thankful trees, using oil pastels and watercolors. Tomorrow morning, we will finish this activity by glueing and cutting.
