It was wonderful to see all the Kindergarteners today and to hear about their long weekends. I continue to be impressed by their ability to generate ideas for their general and to sound out the beginning and ending sounds of their words. Vowels continue to be a challenge, but something that we are continuing to work on.
We introduced two new trick words today - see and went during Fundations and during Reader's Workshop.
As we read In The Mirror, we clapped for the word "see" and then acted out the story.
During math, we continued working on our number writing. Tomorrow, we will begin new math stations where we will focus on the symbols of "more than" and "less than" by playing different games and using magnet boards.
