Because it's Monday, we wrote in our journals! As they have done so well in the past, the children continued to draw ABCD drawings and write a sentence to describe their illustration. We helped the Kindergarteners to tap out and begin to hear all the sounds in their words.
During Fundations, we introduced 2 new sounds - r-rat-r and e-e-Ed. We have now learned all our short vowel sounds! After learning the sounds, we used our white boards to write each letter the expected way. E's are especially tricky, so we spent extra time on this letter.
THe Kindergarteners learned how to properly form the numbers "6" and "7" during math today. Using each other's backs and then white boards, we reviewed the numbers 1-5 and then practiced these 2 numbers.
