It was a busy day today! The Kindergarteners got right to work and enthusiastically completed their Hermit The Crab activity which they had started on Friday. We look forward to displaying these in our classroom!
During journal writing, we reviewed our trick works and I modeled writing in my journal, as I thought about spaces between my words and the beginning and ending sounds of words.
During Fundations, we used our interactive board to figure out mixed up sentences, making sure to put a period at the end! I also introduced the "question mark" as the punctuation to use at the end of a question.
During math, we introduced the concept of "length" and compared different paper strips to see which was longer and which was shorter. The children then worked on a sheet where they circled items that were longer and shorter.
