This morning we started learning about Olivia, our Star of The Week. As Olivia shared her poster, we added to all that we know about Olivia in our mind files. Tomorrow we look forward to guessing Olivia's mystery items!
During journal writing today, we focused on making sure all our words have a vowel, and starting our letters on the right line. Next week, I will start encouraging those who are ready to write at least 2 sentences in their journals :-)
We are beginning to think about number stories during math. Today, I told 5 different number stories and the Kindergartners had to figure out if there was more or less at the end. Also Iormally introduced the "+" and "-" symbols to indicate if there is combining of numbers or taking away of numbers.
