It was so great to see all the Kindergarteners today- so many were eager to share their stories about their past few- some who lost power shared what they did (flashlights and sleepovers) while others shared worries about another storm coming! We talked for a little bit (in a very structured way) about what children experienced and who is able to help out during these times. I think this conversation helped to alieve some of the worries.
We started our day with School Meeting. We saw a skit about playing fairly at recess and learned about a Service Learning bake sale that will be happening soon. As always, the meeting ended with the Loker school song.
We got back to work reviewing and writing about Henry, our Star of The Week from last week. Ms. Dennehy reviewed how to draw Henry and the Kindergarteners worked hard to do "Star Writing" for him. We hope you enjoy your book, Henry!
We also started to learn about our new Star of The Week, Elyse! Elyse shared her poster and we added details to our mind file about Elyse during this time. We look forward to guessing her clues next!
