It was a rainy Monday, but we managed to get outside early this morning! We also started our day learning aout Charlie, our Star of The Week. We look forward to guessing Charlie's clues tomorrow!
During Writer's Workshop, we continued thinking about adding more detail to our journal entries and working in a way that makes us feel proud of our work. The Kindergarteners really did a fabulous job today and many wanted to show off their work to their teachers and classmates.
We started new math stations today. The children who were working with me worked on directionality and following directions. I noticed that some children do not know what "beside" means so we practiced putting objects beside one another.
We ended our day with Open Circle. We discussed the importance of body language and tone of voice. With examples, we showed how the same message can be perceived in 2 different ways based on one's body language and way of talking.
