Today we finished learning and writing about Josie, our Star of The Week from last week and started learning about Henry. Henry shared his poster and we added to our mind file all about Henry. Tomorrow we look forward to guessing his clues.
During Fundations, we focused on trick words and circled words within a sentence. We reviewed when we use capital letters and ending punctuation. Tomorrow we will do a dictation during this time where children will put all these concepts together.
We introduced math addition top it today which will be a station during math tomorrow. The children were asked to add cards together and to keep track of each round on a ten frame. By playing in this way, we were reviewing addition and how to properly use a ten frame.
Henry's mom joined us this afternoon as our Star Reader. She read some "Frog and Toad" stories . . Thank you for joining us this afternoon!
