The class had such a fabulous day today, even enjoying some extra time outside ! :-) Elijah's grandmother joined us as our Mystery Reader this morning- thank you for spending part of your day with us.
We also learned how to write 2 new lowercase letters- "a" and "d" and during phonics we changed words based on the beginning, middle, or ending sounds. The children were amazed at the simple yet powerful way a word can be changed!
Math was a great opportunity to review shapes- the Kindergarteners started working on Shape Monsters. We reviewed and described each shape and then the children got to work! We will continue these tomorrow morning. Ask your child which shape he/she used as the body of his/her monster.
