Today we started to learn about Liam, our Star of The Week. Liam did a great job sharing his poster and we added a lot of information to our mind file about Liam. Tomorrow, we look forward to guessing the items in your Mystery Bag.
During Fundations, we continued to focus on sentence structure- focusing on spaces between words, capital letters, and correct punctuation. We are seeing some inconsistencies when the children write independently, so hope that by continued practice (white boards, using sentence strips, etc), this will help when the children are writing on their own.
During math, I taught the class the game "Tenzi". This game works on subtilizing and recognizing the dots on the die. The goal is to get 10 dice turned to the same number quicker than your partner. Then, you say "TENZI" We will also play this during math stations this week.
