Hard to believe it's the last day of April! We reviewed our months of the year song in anticipation of the next month coming up tomorrow! We also shared about our weekends and then played "who remembers" to see who remembered what . his/her partner shared.
During fundations, we continued to practice our digraph sounds and did another detective search around the classroom. The children then spelled and read their words which served as a great review of reading real words and nonsense words.
We started new math stations today. Over the next couple of months, we will return to addition and subtraction and reviewing many of the concepts learned throughout the year. Children learned the game "build a floor" with me- in this actvity, they are creating addends for the targeted number 6 and building on to create the number. Ms. Lepow joined us today and worked with a group using number shapes.
