Today we started learning about Colby, our Star of The Week. Colby did a terrific job sharing his poster and helping us add to our mind files about Colby. We look forward to guessing his special clues tomorrow!
Sophie's mom also joined us this morning as our Mytery Reader. Thank you for reading the book Rosie Revere, Engineeer and spending time with us this morning.
During Writer's Workshoop, the Kindergarteners continued to write in their journals and we brainstormed different ways to start our sentences. Middle vowels are still a challenge for many, so we are working on those with individual children as well as during Reading Shuffle time.
We started new math stations this week,as we continue to focus on shapes. Our exploration station focused on 3 Dimensional Shapes which we will have a focused lesson on this Wednesday. In the meantime, however, feel free to point out shapes in the real world that are 3-dimensional.
We ended our day by thinking about the ways that Rock Brain can make us always want to be first! We brainstomred ways to be supeflex when we are not first in line and talked about how line order doesn't really matter....
