Wow! It was cold out there at recess today!! Please watch the weather carefully to help send it appropriate gear for recess...some children were quite cold out there today.
During morning meeting, the children paired up to a "think, pair, share" about their weekend after writing a "noun" ( a person, place or thing) that they saw this weekend. This prompt helped to generate conversation which then led into writing in their journals.
During Math Shuffle today, we continued to think about addition and subtraction and counting on. This was also our focus as we had new Math Stations today. Ms. Lepow, our math coach, came in and led a lesson at the Lesson Station called "grab-bag subtraction", while Ms. Dennehy led a group in making "fortune tellers " with equations. Thank you to Scott Galloway for joining us at the game station and playing Bump with his group- we appreciate your spending time with us.:-)
