Today we had Firefighter Todd join us to talk about Fire Safety. He spoke about the importance of knowing one's address and phone number in case a child needs to call 911. Firefighter Todd also got dressed up in his fire fighting gear so children would know what he looks like and would not be afraid, in case of a fire. It was a fabulous presentation.
We also continued to work on our reader's theatre plays. We will NOT be performing these at our Open House (they will take too long)- instead we will perform them in front of the other KIndergarten class. We are planning a different presentation for Wednesday night instead..
We also continued our math stations this afternoon, continuing to review addition, subtraction, and writing equations. The Kindergarteners are really enjoying all the review games that we are playing during this time.
We ended our day with Open Circle and continued to reminisce about our year together. I think that children are feeling excited and ready for the summer, while still feeling a great connection to our classroom, children, and teachers.
