The class continues to work hard , even as we begin to wind down our year together. After spending time sharing about our weekend, each child wrote a page about what they did over the last 2 days. Because we sent the journals home on Friday, you will find this writing in their folders today.
We also learned a poem about the end of Kindergarten. After circling the chorus of the song, the children drew and wrote about a favorite memory. This will also be coming home in your child's foler today or tomorrow.
We finished up the math stations that we started last week, continuing to review number sense and also reviewing shapes. Tomorrow, we will spend time on a a STEAM project.
We ended our day with Open Circle. During this time, we talked about what to expect for Move Along Day and focused on what things will be the same in their First Grade classrooms. I could tell that there is a lot of anxiety and "what if" questions about this day, so I hope our discussion helped to ease many of these thoughts and feelings.
