Today we had a great day with a lot of exploring and using different things in our classroom. We started the day drawing our self-portraits for the month of September. The Kindergarteners had the opportunity to use the skin colored pencils and mirrors to see what their faces look like!
Mr. Jones joined us this morning and read to us Whole Body Listening Larry. In this book, the Kindergarteners learned how they can listen with their whole body, including their feet, hands, hearts, mouth and brain! Ask your child about the different ways to listen.
We also had a chance to explore some of the different math manipulatives we will be using this year. The children had a chance to be part of one rotation - we will continue these tomorrow.
