The Kindergarteners seemed to arrive very tired to school today, but were certainly energized by the end of the day!! :-) We started the morning by finishing up and then hanging up our bird feeders! The children were so excited to put their creations to use and were even more excited when they heard the chirping of birds come closer and closer as we added more feeders to the tree!
We had Math Shuffle today where groups are continuing to work on careful counting and number comparing. During Math Stations today, we worked on "tub problems"- how many on top, how many under and using the concept of "part, part , whole" to figure out our equations. Ms. Lepow also joined us today to help play "Ten Frame Roll" reminding students to say the number on the greater dice more, and then to count on (when using 2 dice).
We also continued to work on our pictures of our "Smarts". We will be sending these home shortly. During Open Circle , we discussed that instead of saying "I can't", we should say "I'm working on that smart". Conversely, instead of saying "that's so easy", we can say "that's a smart I grew".
