Today we had school meeting where we watched a 5th Grade PRIDE Skit about using computers in an expected way. We also celebrated birthdays since our last school meeting and were challenged to come up with a name for our new Loker mascot.
Ms. Pirelli joined our class and read Listening With Our Eyes. Ms. Pirelli played a game where we had to figure out what she was thinking about based on where she was looking. Then, children had a chance to look at something and we had to figure out what they were thinking about. This is a great game to play when in a "waiting place".
Ms. Kaplan also joined us today and started a talk about "Zones of Regulation". We colored in a "people thermometer" with the colors of red, green, and blue (with a yellow caution "ribbon" in between the red and green zones). We will talk about how to manage our zones of regulation next week. There is a note in your child's folder with more details about this program.
For science, we split the class up into 2 groups. One group worked on putting together tree puzzles and identifying specific types of trees. The other group worked on playing a memory match game based on different types of leaves from specific trees.
