Another busy and fantastic day in Room 1. We turned over the first letter in our alphabet! The letter was "S" and we practiced the chant "S, Sizzling Sausages" to help us remember the sound that S makes. We also wrote in our journals making sure we either draw or wrote the name of a place we went over the weekend. During math stations today, we continued to count accurately and to match an array of the dots with the correct number of unifix cubes. Finally, during Learning Centers, the children enjoyed reading the room for words they recognized, showed careful tweezer counting at the math station, and stamped S words at the ABC center. When the bell rang, we couldn't believe that the day was over!
